My Journey To The Cross

The Cycle of Struggle

Laura Weaver was saved and filled with the Holy Spirit in 1991. While she was on fire for God initially, she soon noticed a discouraging pattern: she was still bound by the same sinful habits she had before salvation.

Smoking a pack of cigarettes a day and using drugs recreationally, she felt a heavy conviction. She knew her body was the temple of the Holy Spirit, yet she found herself in a constant cycle of sinning and repenting, never gaining victory. Discouraged and not yet understanding the Message of the Cross, Laura eventually gave up. That decision led to 15 years of heavy drug, alcohol, and nicotine addiction.

The Cost of Addiction

During those dark years, the enemy took nearly everything. Laura lost three of her four children to the state due to her drug use. But even in the depths of her dilemma, God was moving. He began leading her to the biblical teachings of the Apostle Paul—specifically the Message of the Cross found in the Book of Romans.

The Third Day: A Miraculous Deliverance

The turning point came when the state came to investigate her fourth child. Though still addicted, Laura had given her heart back to the Lord just days prior. Facing the devastating fear of losing another child, she cried out to God for three days while suffering through agonizing withdrawals.

On that third day, as she was about to give in and go buy drugs to ease the pain, the Holy Spirit spoke clearly to her heart:

"Jesus defeated all drug, alcohol, and nicotine addiction at the Cross. When He shed His blood, He broke all the power of Satan. All you have to do is believe by Faith."

The Power of Surrender

Laura looked at her baby in the cradle and made a declaration: "Father, I can’t quit drugs on my own. I surrender to you. I believe by faith that what Jesus Christ did on the Cross is all I need to set me free."

In that moment, she felt the power of God surge through her body like electricity. She felt the demonic stronghold of addiction being pushed out of her. She knew instantly she was free. The power of the Holy Spirit had been activated by her faith in the finished work of Christ.

A Life Restored

God is a restorer. Following her deliverance, Laura regained full custody of her children. She has now maintained her freedom for over 19 years. She has spent nearly two decades studying the Message of the Cross and has undergone extensive training and certification in Inner Healing and Deliverance.

Our Mission Today

Called to preach in 2010, Laura now shares her miraculous testimony at Celebrate Recoveries, drug rehabs, churches, and small groups. Her mission is simple: to see as many people set free as the Lord places in her path.

Through the combined power of biblical doctrine, inner healing, and the Message of the Cross, she helps others find perpetual freedom from:
